At the request of Glastuinbouw Nederland, the Ctgb decided to extend the certification of Batavia, based on spirotetramat. Now Batavia will be available in the Netherlands for use in protected cultures of Endive, leavy cabbages, aromatic herbs, rucola, lamb's lettuce and the uses for seed production.

At the request of Glastuinbouw Nederland, the Ctgb decided to extend the certification of the pesticide Met 52 OD, based on Metharhizium anisopliae strain F52. In de zesde aanvraagronde van het Fonds 2015-2019 zijn acht aanvragen voor financiële ondersteuning voor onderzoeks- en toelatingskosten gehonoreerd voor een totaalbedrag van €139.818. Deze projecten dragen bij aan de oplossing van knelpunten. Eén van de toegekende projecten betreft een project dat het Expert Centre Specialty Crops als prioritair had gekwalificeerd.

At the request of BASF Nederland BV, the Dutch Board for the authorisation of plant protection products and biocides (Ctgb) authorised the new herbicide Wing-P. In this first (zonal) authorisation a large number of small crops is included. Wing-P is allowed in corn, onions, shallots, leek, flower bulbs and corms (field) and tree nursery crops (field). Wing-P is furthermore allowed in the following small crops: lupine (all purposes), sunflower (all purposes), evening primrose, crambe and echium (not for human consumption or animal feed), sweet corn, leguminous green fertilisers, elephant grass, Aconitum, Astilbe, hosta, paeonia, tree nursery crops (on seedbed), perennial crops (root stock and transferred plants) and field breeding and seed production of: floriculture, vegetable crops and many arable crops.

02.07.2014 - Press release: Opus Team
The Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) has re-registered the fungicide Opus Team, and extended the authorisation with several crops including flax. This is most welcomed by the Dutch flax growers, who urgently demand effective fungicides for mildew control. The extension of the Opus Team label was on request of BASF, in close collaboration with Plantum as the coordinator on the availability of plant protection products for flax growing. On behalf of the sod production sector BASF and Plantum as well requested label extension for sod production (turf grass), but unfortunately this could not be honored. The Dutch Minor Use Fund financially supported the request for label extension for flax and sod production.

The Dutch Board for Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) has agreed to approve a label extension for Monarch in unprotected ornamental crops (summer flowers).   This label extension was obtained at the request of Belchim Crop Protection NV in close cooperation with LTO Glaskracht Nederland within the framework of an Expert Centre Speciality Crops project. “Rhizoctonia is a problem in unprotected summer flowers. Monarch can be seen as a welcome addition for the control of this disease” said Aad Vernooy, network coordinator for summer flowers LTO Glaskracht Nederland.

02.04.2013 - Press release: Crop protection industry very active with label extensions
Recently the Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) approved several label extensions for the fungicide Flint of Bayer CropScience. Extension was approved for use in the cultivation of fibre plants, madder, the uncovered cultivation of root parsley, parsnip, turnip, rutabaga and black salsify and the breeding and primary propagation of arable, vegetable and fruit crops, herbs and ornamentalswithin glashouses. BASF Nederland BV has submitted label extension together with the re-registrastion of the product Scala. Now the re-registration is finalized, the label is extended with the use in the protected cultivation of cucumber, zuchinni, gherkin, the unprotected cultivation of grape, blackberry and raspberry and in tree nurseries of apple and pear. Scala can be used for the control of botryis and scab.
